Quetzalcoatl Capsules

Quetzalcoatl, quite as depicted in the Codex Telleriano-Remensis of the 1500s. Modified and a bit simplified.
This is a "What if . . ." kind of work. The purpose of the Quetzalcoatl Gita is to make you ponder and compare. I have taken verses or passages from the Bhagavad Gita, which is attributed to the great sage Veda-Vyasa, and let those verses reflect Quetzalcoatl, the "Plumed Serpent" of Meso-America. Quetzalcoatl was the ruler and an Aztec god-figure, and at times they were presented as identical.
Krishna goes into telling all he is apart from a human figure, as an incarnation of God Vishnu. Something like it might apply to Quatzalcoatl as well. In both cases, try to ascertain the evidence so as not to be taken in by being told, just being told. Looking for historical verification or facts, do not trust in hearsay and loose opinions, to remain on the safe side and remain realistic throughout life.
Krishna of the Bhagavad Gita and Quetzalcoatl appear to have much in common. That does mean they are the same, however. Quatzalquetal is described in such as the Encyclopaedia Britannica [Ebu]. You may find information in both those sources relevant to points that follow.

Transcultural ideations - a play at first

The Bhagavad Gita says Krishna contains gods and beings in his greater self, and so could you. That is quite a teaching handed over in Hinduism and Buddhism - that gods are in your self. Upanishads teach it, among other works. Krishna says he is all (chapter 11), and gives many examples. And Quetzalcoatl may be aligned with Gita verses for the sake of some transcultural explorations. Each verse of this Quetzalcoatl Gita gives exact references to corresponding Bhagavad Gita verses. As for literature study, which this boils down to:
  • Look up scriptural evidence .
  • Juxtapose and compare, while being matter-of-fact most of all.
  • Assert slovenly only on top of it. Why? To base a living or footing on unverified beliefs may make us flounder.
  • Sagacity deals with life on a local scale for survival as life goes on. Balance and stay firm, and do not squander your best resources.
Are the identification markers of any scripture reliable and true? What evidence does the claims rest on, if there are any? Skills are gates into proficiency and may breed a clear mind.

Quetzalcoatl Gita

1. Manifest aspects of your Supreme Self in daily living to stay attuned to It

Follow your inner heart's nature carefully, meticulously, in order to bloom. (See 3.33)

Your unseen Self can be the deep soul abiding in the heart of all beings. (See also 6.31) (10.20). If so, the ignorant do not know their subtle Self as the unborn and eternal godhood. (See 7.25)

The Inner Self can be the origin of all angels and sages also. (10.02) If so, it is the seed of all creatures. (7.10).

Ignorant persons, full of false hopes and false knowledge, can act as fiends and demons. (See 9.12)

The imperishable Para-Self, dwells in or beyond the body (as Seele) (13.31)

The wise should not unsettle the mind of the ignorant, but should rather try to inspire others by performing decent works efficiently without attachment. (See also 3.29) (3.26)

This entire universe is pervaded by the Spirit over the manifest godhood. (See 9.04)

Those who carp at My teaching and do not practice it, consider them as ignorant of all knowledge, senseless, in a way. (3.32)

Even the most sinful of all sinners can cross over sin by fit know-how alone. (4.36)

The unwise who delight in flowery words (even chanting of the songs of Solomon) tend to go for the ritualistic aspects of things (2.43)

2. Enough knowledge includes knowledge of the depths inside too

I am the ocean among the bodies of water, inner splendour (10.36), (10.24), the life in all living beings (7.09), the life-giving One. Yet the cosmos is not nice (See 11.51).

Go for acquiring fair enough knowledge by sincere inquiry. (See 4.34) (4)

Godhood deep inside is the Supreme imperishable. (8.03, ca.)

3. Ability and inborn desires can be good, and work for your advantage

I am the lust in human beings that is in accord with the right things to do for such as procreation (7.11). Some renouncers disregard that.

"I see in Your body all the gods and multitude of beings, all sages, celestial serpents, [and the] Creator-god. (11.15) Enemies that speak unmentionable words and scorn your ability - what could be more painful than this? (2.36)

I am the origin of all. (10.08).

They whose wisdom has been carried away by various desires, resort to religious rites. (7.20)

Know the Cosmic Jellyfish (soul) deep inside as the King and look around. Take one step at the time. Do not dare to run away.

In a Nutshell

IN SUM
  1. Manifest sides of your Innermost Self in daily living to stay attuned to It.
  2. Enough knowledge includes knowledge of the depths inside too. Yoga helps towards it.
  3. Do not discard all your natural abilities and proclivities to conform to dictates and the will of others. Instead, let ability and inborn desires work for your advantage.
IN NUCE Call forth sides to inward knowledge to be firm and gain advantage. Meditation practice serves that end too.
