It is good to spend time in the pursuit of higher interests too, along with the trivia. Good yoga favours mental clarity. Sex can be used as a means for developing into higher living too, as in tantra. In the absence of other good friends, value your own company. Buddha shows what marks genuine friends. There is much food for thought in his teachings.
