Grimm tales are among the most popular fairy tales in the world. Those with a clover-mark were ranked as the "top five" by 1,200 US children in a 2004 poll.
A background: The Grimms found it fit to publish a "small edition" of 50 tales intended for child readers. From 1825 to 1858 the selection went through ten editions.
Tales from the seventh, final edition are sorted in three groups here. Ten legends come last. The first group hardly contains any seriously dangerous tales, but your discretion is needed anyway. - T. K.
