Tarot 11 ☼

The Wheel of Fortune is a Wheel of the World as well, and almost a medieval torture instrument that an untold number of people keep riding through life. Four (even eight) figures ride the Wheel in the old Italian tarots. The one to the left says "I will reign", the one at the top says "I reign", the one to the right says "I have reigned", and the final figure, crushed below the wheel, says "I am without reign". The underlying, Italian tarot idea captures dominant troubles and tragedies of human life-phases with their passions and struggles.

In the Italian tarot, a blindfolded Fortuna (Fortune) stands in the middle, as luck in life increases and next dwindles, as the case may be. The king at the top has donkey ears, indicating vanity and folly. However, in the tarot de Marseille, Fortuna and the bottom figure are both omitted.

1. To impress envious ones soon increases main problems of some

Computers and next-generation items appeal to them, and philanthropic activity and electronics too.

Their anger can be terrible, and so can the long-range effects of certain new technologies.

The adventurous soon leave the petty.

Even statistical probability measures can be symbols of the world.

Leaning toward practical decor while tending to flaunt, happens to impress others of related professions.

You have to get inwardly steely to avoid or drop an exploitative, sinister environment. Otherwise many an unflinching psychologist probably takes over.

Howling in the idealistic wind may seem just marginal, but should hardly be neglected anyhow. ◇

To implement improvements, one should not increase one's problems by assuming too much wrong responsibility.
