Lahiri Mahasaya sale The kriya yoga guru Lahiri Mahasaya (1828–95) is also called Lahiri Baba. His real name: Shyama Charan (Devi Sharman) Lahiri. 'Mahasaya' is a customary sign of respect, like Baba. Lahiri Mahasaya is known for simplifying kriya yoga and initiating about 5,000 persons in it. His yogi associations to 26 texts are published in several books. Some extracts follow.
