Shyama Charan Devi Sharman Lahiri (1828–95) is often referred to as Lahiri Mahasaya and Lahiri Baba. 'Mahasaya' and 'Baba' are tokens of respect. He is known for spreading kriya yoga and teaching it to about 5,000 people. His kriya-yogi associations to 26 texts have been translated into English. Translation extracts and renderings make up this collection.
